Kath Fuel Oil Service Co.’s diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) mixture contains high purity synthetic urea and deionized water that is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems on diesel engines.  DEF is used as a consumable in SCR to lower NOx concentration in diesel exhaust emissions from diesel engines.
